A dendrologist, tree educator, and naturalist specializing in tree identification, ecology, history, and cultural uses of trees, Levi is a certified, TRAQ qualified arborist.
On faculty at New York Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Levi teaches woody plant courses required for Horticultural Certification, as well as in-depth workshops for the public.
Levi leads public tours at botanic gardens, arboreta, community gardens, and private events.
With an education that includes a Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, along with 7+ years of college level teaching experience in horticulture, dendrology, forest pathology and entomology, Levi is currently working toward a Master’s in Forest Pathology.
Levi shares high-quality educational content with an online audience across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Patreon, etc. While it’s gratifying to reach millions at a time with videos, he prefers in-person opportunities!
